Feeling good about your appearance is not a simple task, it requires acceptance and a lot of self-love, because when we begin to love ourselves, it is possible to love those around us. Being slim or curvy gives you the same ability to be happy and make your partner happy. However, a study conducted by Dr. Filemón Alvarado and Dr. Edgardo Morales of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) revealed that curvy women can make men happier.
According to the study, in fact, men smile more when they are with more curvy partners and are more likely to solve problems more easily. Why? According to Alvarado and Morales, who together with their team conducted the study, a higher BMI leads to a better ability to be able to "anticipate and meet" a man's needs.
Happy men with curvy women: here's why
These scientific conclusions attest that men who live with curvy women are more satisfied than those who date thin women. The reason? These voluptuous figure women are generally more optimistic, attentive and kind towards their partners. Another scientifically observed similarity is that they are more open, generous, calm and patient than thinner women.
Research reveals that curvy women have higher reproduction rates, as well as having better communication skills, which makes their men up to 10 times happier. They tend to have more children, as gestation does not produce any problems, because they are used to carrying a lot of weight, so a baby does not make a difference. Meanwhile, thin people tend to be more reserved, have a hard time communicating, and have a hard time expressing their feelings.
Curves are synonymous with femininity and even act as a real drug for some men. This study attests that when men look at voluptuous hips and waist, the neural reward systems are activated. It is the same mechanism when consuming a narcotic. This attraction to the curvy woman is not based solely on scientific mechanisms. This masculine appeal is also cultural and has years of history behind it. What we now consider a "fat woman" was considered the perfect canon of beauty not even a century ago: at that time, a thin woman was considered unhealthy.
