Like any addiction it's not easy to get out of it, it takes a lot of willpower. This is why today more and more people in the world smoke, finding a trivial refuge from stress and boredom. But have you ever wondered which are the countries where people smoke the most?
One study tried to analyze the habits of smokers around the world. According to these statistics, 20% of the world population smokes. The three countries with the highest number of smokers are Greece, Indonesia and Latvia, where the percentage of those who smoke is even close to 38%.
Immediately after we find Chile, China, Hungary and Estonia. It's Italy? It is in 16th position, with 21% of the smoking population. In all countries, men smoke more than women. And the most virtuous countries? Finland and Sweden, where only 11% of the population smokes!
