The flower that becomes transparent if it rains
There is a flower, which grows in Asia, which transforms and becomes transparent every time it rains
Sometimes nature gives us phenomena that they know are even more incredible than the science fiction we are used to seeing in movies. One of these is the one concerning a very unusual flower.
Its name is Diphylleia Grayi and it has an incredible feature: its petals become transparent in contact with water, giving a unique spectacle.
This wonderful plant grows in the wooded and humid environments of East Asia, especially in China and Japan. Its leaves are large and umbrella-shaped, each plant dotted with small clusters of white flowers.
The flowering period goes from late spring to early summer and it is precisely at that moment that it is possible to witness the unusual phenomenon of white petals which, hit by raindrops, slowly lose their pigments until they become transparent. But when the rain stops, the petals dry up and turn white again!
