It often happens that we hear about our country only for the negative things, forgetting that we have so much beauty to offer to those who visit us. We are certainly rich in artistic and cultural assets, yet for once we manage to be the first even for an infrastructural work.
We are talking about the Naples metro, in particular the Toledo station, which won the award as the most beautiful in the world, beating cities like Sydney and Jerusalem.
The appearance of this station is very special. Inaugurated in 2012 and built by a Catalan architect, it has already won several prizes and awards in recent years. The Telegraph newspaper itself had defined the station as the most beautiful in Europe.
Later it was even the Daily Mail and CNN that defined Toledo as the most beautiful station in the world. Many awards until 2015, the year in which the prize was awarded in the category "innovative use of space" and was awarded by the "International Tunneling Association".
