Christmas has always been one of the most awaited holidays and, as such, we are always looking for the perfect gift to give to those you love. However, some like to overdo it. This is what happened in Catania, Sicily, where a 47-year-old man gave his wife a car for Christmas. Nothing strange, except that the vehicle was previously stolen.
The theft dates back to early December, a period in which the man even had the opportunity and time to change the vehicle's registration plates to replace them with others in the name of his partner.
Gifts of a certain level (ingenious)
The caring husband had everything planned: stealing the car, changing the number plates and finally surprising his wife. Too bad, however, that the man's plans were shattered when the police managed to find the theft through the chassis number of the stolen vehicle. By doing so, they also managed to trace the rightful owner of the car, warning him immediately.
The thief, confronted with a fait accompli by the pressing questions of the Police, finally admitted to having stolen the vehicle. He also specified the reason for the gesture, that is to give a gift to his wife. The agents reported both spouses for theft while the car is now waiting to be returned to the holder.
