John and Matt Goodman were father and son. Indeed, they are father and son. Because certain bonds never break: not even when one of the two, unfortunately, dies. Matt loved his father. they practically did everything together, they were friends and accomplices. But then John contracted a bad disease and in a short time he was gone, leaving his son who was just 15 years old. So many things they wanted to do together again! But there was no more time.
But the love of a father manages to defeat any distance, even the most apparently definitive one. Before he left, John asked his wife and daughter to do something for him. Years passed and there came a very important moment in the life of any boy. Matt was about to turn 21, which in the US is equivalent to being of age and being able to order alcohol at the pub.

Dad's first adult beer
On his birthday, his sister and mother gave him an envelope. Inside was ten dollars and a message from his father. John hadn't been able to take his son to the bar for a beer to celebrate his coming of age. But he wanted to be there anyway. So, he had left him the money to toast his memory too. Matt couldn't resist the temptation to tell everyone what his amazing dad had done.
In a Twitter post, in plain language, he said what his dying father had planned to do for him. A gesture of love that has managed to overcome even that abysmal abyss that separates the living and the dead. Everyone was moved and even sent money to Matt to celebrate his birthday. He donated everything to the association that took care of his father in his last days. Of course, John will be very proud of Matt of him.
