Bernice Dapaah is a young entrepreneur from Ghana who, shortly after finishing her studies, founded a company based on the social economy, which aims to harmonize market freedom and social justice.
His company is called "Bamboo Bike" and produces beautiful local bamboo bicycles. Its first goal is to provide children with a means of transport to reach the school , often very far from home.
The initiative also creates employment, guaranteeing a living wage and training for young people with little education. Part of the production is then donated to African school children.
The bamboo and all the materials used to assemble the bikes are 100% sustainable.
In just 6 years, Bamboo Bike has become an example of a social enterprise and we hope it will become an inspiring model for other companies to come!
