The Michigan native tucked her raven tresses up underneath a trucker cap and shielded her eyes against the Central American glare with a pair of ornately bejeweled shades.
Lizzo -who has become known for her racy twerking videos she posts on social media- snapped photos of her friend on her cell phone as the pair danced.
Other members of the Grammy award winning artist's female entourage caught some rays while topless in the background.
Earlier in the day, Lizzo sent a message by posting a very racy photo of herself nude while half of her body was wrapped in the American flag as she thanked her fans for voting.
The Truth Hurts singer took to Instagram to share the revealing snap with a lengthy message about her views on the current political and social landscape as she also shared her appreciation for those who have taken the time to participate in the election.
She covered up one side of her chest with a hand as she went completely nude in the attention getting image.
The other side featured the US flag stars and stripes draping down from her shoulders to bell-bottomed trousers as the custom number also featured a long flowy sleeve.
Lizzo captioned the image: 'When I think of this country I don’t think of its laws I think of its people.
'I think about how we were raised to be patriotic of violence, propaganda & war.
'I think about how this country is owned by the oppressor and how the oppressed are locked in a valley of capitalism.'
Though she started out the statement negatively she began to list out things that have made her feel optimism.
'But I also think of the young people who refuse to be spoon fed mistruths. I think of the elders who bucked against hateful prejudices even when it felt impossible....,' Lizzo wrote. 'Because of you, I’m still hopeful.'
She went on to list out her political and social beliefs as she continued: 'I believe in a country that teaches the true history so we can better understand where we live and how we can do better.
'I believe in a country that listens to the cries of the protester and doesn’t politicize death.
'I believe in restoration of this beautiful land and respecting the communities of people who owned America before colonizers renamed it.
'I believe in fairness, equality, a complete removal of religion in places where it does not belong. Let religion live in the churches and places of worship... the quiet prayer rooms, the joyful congregations.. and out of Congress.
'I believe in so much, and if I believe it one day I can see it. It may not be tomorrow it may not be today, but it will be one day if we stay activated.'
Lizzo concluded the lengthy message in a very strong way while also sharing her appreciation for anyone who sacrificed their time in order to vote.
She said: 'We the people, ALL the people, deserve it. Today’s the last day to vote. Stay in line, stay determined and thank YOU for voting.'
The Juice hitmaker performed her civic duty last week as she documented the event on social media.

She also endorsed the Joe Biden and Kamala Harris presidential ticket as she rallied voters in her hometown of Detroit in the key swing state of Michigan on October 23.
