Actor and singer Ansel Elgort has been accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in 2014.
His accuser, identifying herself only as Gabby, posted on Twitter Friday morning a detailed account of how 26-year-old Elgort, best known for his film roles in “Baby Driver” and “Divergent” series, assaulted her after meeting her online.
Gabby, who currently resides in New York according to her Instagram profile, described the sexual encounter: “It was my first time and I was sobbing in pain and I didn’t want to do it the only words that came out of his mouth were ‘we need to break you in.’”
The account where the accusation appeared has since been deleted. The story remains unverified.
Gabby said she messaged Elgort on social media two days before her 17th birthday, expecting him not to respond. To her surprise, he sent her his personal SnapChat account and asked for nude photos.
“Years later I have PTSD, I have panic attacks I go to therapy,” Gabby wrote, also sharing a photo of what appears to be her and Elgort, and a screenshot of their direct messaging conversation.
“I WAS SO YOUNG AND HE KNEW THAT,” she continued. “He as well said stuff like, ‘you’re going to be such a beautiful young lady when you’re older.‘”
She said she came forward now because she’s ready “to finally heal.”
Elgort was also under fire Friday after an anonymous Instagram post claimed someone named Ansel used the used the N-word several times to bully them in high school. Twitter users assumed it was Elgort and criticized him, according to Newsweek.
Elgort has not made a statement about either accusation as of Friday afternoon.
He is set to co-star in a Stephen Spielberg’s upcoming remake of “West Side Story” opposite Rachel Zegler, a 19-year-old actress from Clifton. Filming took place in Paterson last summer.
