Choosing the destination: futuristic cities, natural parks, road trips, long beaches ...
You could spend a whole life in the States and still know them very superficially. There is so much to discover and do that everything is always incomplete, insufficient. A trip to the USA is a dream that usually starts as a child when the media is projecting us overseas. Once you have left, I warn you, the desire increases more and more. Why? The United States, like few other countries, offer an all-encompassing experience: different peoples, mixed cultures, eclectic metropolises, boundless distances, beaches, deserts, parks, grasslands, snow-capped peaks, historical sites. This variety of everything is the key that will make your soul penetrate the charm and the desire of this imposing country that has become an icon and a lighthouse, like it or not, of Western culture.
Urban architectures such as those in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco merge with the natural ones of the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, Yosemite Park, Yellowstone where the red color of the rocks fades and evolves in the greenery of most vegetation wild. And why not take a dip in history, albeit a relatively short one, touching for example Washington with its administrative buildings and museums, Philadelphia and then ending up at the majestic sculpture of Mount Rushmore, one of the symbols of national identity?
If you prefer the country style, head south to the Mississippi where Jazz and Blues were born, between Memphis and New Orleans or Texas for a ranch or rodeo adventure.
Alternatively, admire the marvelous coasts, both the eastern coast from Maine to Florida, and the most famous of California where the oceans meet the earth in a sublime embrace offering scenarios to contemplate in silence, as in front of a huge painting.
Enjoy the colors of nature in New England and its world-famous universities such as Harvard or Yale, Niagara Falls and, if you really don't want to leave New York, reach Chicago and treat yourself to some stretches of historic Route 66 with a detour into the capital of sin and fun, Las Vegas and one on the finale: San Francisco.
If you love the company, you should know that Americans are very informal, talkative, helpful and nice, contrary to what is often believed. Speaking of culinary delicacies, don't miss a slice of cheesecake, pancakes with maple syrup and some sandwiches or hot dogs, especially with typical regional and local products. Naturally remember all the necessary documents to be prepared in time as a passport and ESTA. Medical and health insurance is strongly recommended.
In closing, a very pleasant and recent discovery, a new trendy city, especially on a cultural level: Seattle. Drop in and you will notice.
